2023 Marion County Chamber of Commerce Awards
Business of the Year winners are recognized for their community involvement and corporate citizenship, growth in employees, sales, net income, and/or customer base, and commitment to good and ethical business practices. This year’s winners were Colonial Chemical (large business) and WEPG –The River 104.9 (small business).
The Community Impact Award was given to SPARQ (South Pittsburg Area Revitalization Quest) for its commitment and dedication to the community through a myriad of programs and efforts.
Each year the Chamber invites the general public to submit nominations for the Citizen of the Year in recognition of a person in our community for his or her outstanding community involvement. This year’s award went to Paige Payne Hill. She began her teaching career at SPHS 30 years ago and has gone above and beyond from the very start. Her staff and students describe her as fair, compassionate, and innovative. She promotes parent and community involvement.
The Chamber is looking forward to our next Annual Golf Classic in June of 2024. Be sure to join in the fun!
Thank you to Colonial Chemical for continuing the Tennessee Adopt-A-Highway program.
