"Man is a history-making creature who can neither repeat his past nor leave it behind." - Wystan Hugh Auden (1907–1973), American poet
The Jasper Regional History Museum stands at the crossroads of Marion County’s past - and its future. If you live in Marion County or visit here and are curious about the area’s past, present, and future, the museum should be one of your first stops.
Our emphasis is on regional and local history, but it’s a history of all of us as Americans. We’d love to have you visit our new museum and enjoy some of our Southern hospitality. Admission is FREE, but donations are graciously welcome. If you live in the area and enjoy history and sharing its riches and wonders, consider becoming a volunteer at the museum. We also are open to any and all suggestions and ideas on making our museum better.
