Jasper Elementary School has educated children since early in the 1900s. JES moved to a beautiful new state-of-the-art building during the 2001-2002 school year. JES is a SACS accredited school with over 600 students in grades K-4.

Monteagle Elementary has been in operation since the early 1900s. A new addition and a complete renovation of the old part of the building was completed in 2004. As of 2007 construction is underway for a new cafeteria. Monteagle Elementary School is a SACS accredited school with approximately 300 students in grades PK-8. We have high standards as well as high achievement scores in all grades. MES provides art, PE, character education, and computer classes for all students in addition to all the academic subjects. Extra curricular programs include basketball, National Junior Honor Society, art club and a drama club. We are an integral part of the Monteagle community and welcome visitors and volunteers at the school.

South Pittsburg Elementary School is SACS accredited and the educational opportunities are vast and varied. In addition to the standard academic courses, there is instruction by certified teachers of music, art and physical education. Each student is provided guidance and emotional support by a trained and qualified counselor and students receive library instruction weekly. An after school program is available, as well as an enrichment program which is provided before each regular school day. This program includes band, Accelerated Reader, reading enrichment, computers and homework help for grades 4 - 6. We offer 5th and 6th grade basketball, special productions by grade level, band and chorus, which are an integral part of the educational program at South Pittsburg Elementary School.

At Whitwell Elementary we offer the following curriculum: Core Curriculum, Saxon Math and Phonics, McGraw-Hill Reading, Language Arts, Spelling, and Social Studies, Shurley English Harcourt Science, Zaner-Bloser Handwriting. The following curriculum is also provided: Library, Art, Music, Guidance, Physical Education and Computer Lab. The students participate in AR and are rewarded for points earned. There is also computer enrichment and reinforcement being offered in the afternoons.

Pryor Institute was named Marion County High School in 1910. MCHS was moved from the old Pryor Institute building to the present site in 1978. Enrollment averages about 550 in grades nine through 12. Chattanooga State Kimball Site
423-837-1327 Located in the Regional Skills Center at 426 Battle Creek Road in Kimball. Chattanooga State Technical Community College offers courses for first year college credit as well as Adult Basic Education services. It is a branch of Chattanooga State located in Chattanooga. The Regional Center is equipped to serve people from Marion, Grundy, Sequatchie and Bledsoe counties. General curriculum and remedial courses are available.
